Are you a dedicated, highly-motivated person looking for an exciting way to serve your community? Are you ready to take on the responsibility of protecting the lives and property of those around you? Are you willing to be a committed, hardworking person that this community can turn to in time of need? If you are ready for the challenge of being a volunteer firefighter or EMT in Davidson, then the Davidson Fire Department is ready for you! Below you will find information about applying for membership.

To apply to join the Davidson Fire Department, you can come to one of our monthly business meetings (7pm on the second Monday of the month at the fire station). You can also pick up a form at the station during normal business hours. We recommend that you submit a photocopy of your driver license and any current certifications along with your application. Once you turn in your application, you must attend two monthly business meetings; at the second meeting, your application will be voted on. If accepted, you will be under probationary status for six months, and at the end of that period you may become a full voting member.

Requirements

All applicants must:

- be 18 years of age or older and live within the fire district;
- submit to a background check;
- have a current North Carolina EMT certification (first responders only);
- have a current North Carolina driver license to operate any department vehicle.
